Power Line Systems August 2005 Newsletter
In this issue:
- Introduction
- Upcoming Training Sessions and Trade Shows
- Web Site Additions and Revisions
- Current Versions
The summer months have seen new versions of TOWER and PLS-POLE to build on the improvements made earlier in the year
such as the real time graphics preview / connection inspector,
automated microwave antenna loading,
and pole deflection check.
The pole deflection check is exciting since it was the number one requested feature in
PLS-POLE and is integrated throughout the program including in the steel pole shaft optimizer.
The new features include:
- View/Edit Customizations/Custom Toolbar command which allows you to create your own custom toolbar. You can also create your own custom hot keys.
- A Project Repair Wizard that replaces the "could not find file" error message and instead helps you locate any missing files.
The Custom Toolbar and Project Repair Wizard are currently available in TOWER and PLS-POLE and will be available in the next version of PLS-CADD (7.40) later this fall.
- A crossing diagonal check in TOWER.
- TOWER has an option to optimize an entire family of lattice towers at once as well as a number of other optimization improvements.
